There is a quiet revolution taking place in America and other far away places all around the globe. Keep your eye out for the Lone Wolf!
The revolutionists are not mercenaries, patriots, or soldiers of fortune; but rather simple working men and women that desire to throw off the shackles of employment slavery and earn a living owning and operating their own small business run from the confines of the kitchen table!
I'm here to show you a very specific business model, the Lone Wolf method, that you can follow if you want to join the revolution. I'll be right here at Lone Wolf Tracks each day with ideas, instructions, tips, resources, how-to suggestions, and other guidance that will teach you how to become an independent Lone Wolf.
There was a time not long ago that the American Dream involved owning a single family home. Not so today.
Now the American Dream is owning a small business and working for #1 - Yourself. You are the boss, the investor, the CEO, the controller, the customer support manager; in fact, all employees rolled into one.
You are the business!
This journey toward the new American Dream can be extremely exciting, challenging, intense, satisfying, and especially profitable.
I can tell you from personal experience, and a working career in small business development, that you can create a nice small business, run it from home, and profit directly from your effort - if you do it right.
I don't care who you, where you live, your age, gender, or race. In fact, the personal skills that will serve you best are your ability to "do" things, your persistence, and your attention to details.
A healthy dose of creativity and knowing how to follow directions will help too. You can be successful if you learn and follow the time-proven principles of sound small business development and position your company so that your prospects are anxious to buy what you have to offer.
But before we begin the journey together, I should introduce myself. I'll keep it brief and to-the-point.
My name is Steve Browne and I live in Pleasant Grove, Utah. I am married, have four adult children, own a dozen or so web sites, and currently work full-time as the Director of Economic Development in my region of central Utah with a resident population of 450,000.
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Sociology and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from BYU in Provo, Utah. I sit on a number of public and professional boards and have several accreditations and industry designations. I'll spare you the boring details.
For the past 28 years I have worked daily in community and economic development planning and job creation - all of it focused on small business development, growth, and expansion.
Our local economy is almost exclusively driven by small business - and I've seen, worked with, and analyzed, first hand, the good, the bad, and yes, the ugly!
Let me personally welcome you to the Lone Wolf Tracks blog, a new member of the Know More Media network of business blogs. I'm honored that KMM has invited me to participate.
Here's my view of this blog and its purpose:
The mission: To coach and help you create a profitable solo Internet information business.
The charge: To provide you with the strategies, instructions, tips, online resources, and guidance you will need to set up and operate your own online business.
Your duty: If you want to be successful as a Lone Wolf, you will need to be dedicated and persistent in learning what this business is, how it works, and then you must translate your learning into "doing" and executing what you've learned. I will help you.
I will be here daily, except Sundays - my day of rest. Why don't you make it yours as well?
I am hopeful that YOU WILL PARTICIPATE in the blog process by visiting daily and posting your comments, questions, ideas, and opinions often. I don't have all the answers, but I'm confident that together we can find what we need.
I would ask that you post in an amicable way, keeping your comments brief, friendly, and (especially) focused on the subject at hand. Opposing thoughts and ideas are always welcomed. Vulgarity, personal attacks, spam, and time-wasters are not.
I am committed to listening as much as posting. If you have a need to reach me personally, other than by posting a public comment, here's the address:
Let me end with a short quote from Wayne Gretzke, the great hockey scoring machine, that I hope will help to motivate you in becoming a Lone Wolf. Here it is:
"100% of the shots you don't take - don't go in."
You can do this. Let's get going . . .
