Did you ever set out to accomplish something important (to you at least) with the grandest of dreams and a plan to reach your goal in a series of steps that you had previously outlined?
You were going to be relentless in following a daily or weekly schedule and have the persistence to maintain your effort day in and day out, without missing a step.
Whether the task was writing in a daily journal, exercising on a regular basis, finishing that certain book, loosing those unwanted 25 pounds, or studying for a class, you were going to be the stalwart one that moved forward like clockwork without missing a beat until you had reached your pre-planned destination.
You know what I'm talking about. You also know that sometimes, life gets in the way!
Yeah life . . . the stuff that comes at you head on without regard for the plans, goals, and timetable that you've set up already.
I'm talking about life in terms of things that happen that you couldn't foresee and that you can't avoid. I'm talking about things (usually negative) that hit you right in the face that have to be addressed and can't be ignored or passed on to someone else.
I'm talking about a major illness, a divorce, a sudden loss of a loved one, a forced move to a new area, losing a job . . . well you get the picture.
Anyway, that's the position I found myself in recently. Without going into details, I will just say that I had every intention of blogging daily (except Sundays) at Lone Wolf Tracks and I did pretty well through the sping months. But summer hit and so did life.
Right in the face, headon, without warning.
So I missed a whole bunch of blogging days - not because I lost interest, or didn't have anything to say - I just had a bunch of pressing life challenges hit me that required my time and effort.
In any business, solo Internet business included, such challenges will always come.
The question is not: "How do I avoid the unexpected?"
Rather, the question the business owner needs to ask is: "How do I handle the disruption?"
How you are able to roll with the punches and get back on track without losing sight of your dreams is the real question. I hope to have some answers for you soon.

Good to see you posting again, Steve. Sorry to hear of the difficulties.
Was it John Lennon who said, "Life is happens to you while you're busy making other plans?" Just thought you could empathize.
